Stubborn stools

So a long time ago I bought four of these old bar stools from a garage sale for $20 (for all four) and found out the were from a local bar that shut down.

They have been sitting in my project corner for over a year now and I decided I’m going to do them! (Because that’s “relaxing” right?) and instead of putting them in our garage where we won’t use them for a while I decided to make a breakfast nook in our kitchen.

These stools are so stubborn though! I originally bought a cheap navy blue leather/vinyl fabric to reupholster them, when I ran out of fabric and went back to buy more they no longer had it (so I have to redo all the ones I have already done).

No biggie I only got one done so far so I ran over to my trouble store hobby lobby and found this cool 70s triangle pattern for $4 a yard ummm yes sign me up!

So now I have one stool complete with the new fabric and I couldn’t love it more I also spray painted the legs with a metallic spray paint that costs about $5 so all in I’m only spending $37 on giving these bad boys a facelift! How awesome is that?!?

Ill post a few more photos of the breakfast nook when I have it all put together.
