Getting Spooky.

As most of you know Halloween is my favorite, Always has been; Always will be.

BUT now I have found out that it is 100 percent my son's favorite holiday. A few people have asked about our family themes for our costumes. "How do you choose?" "How do you get him to sit still for makeup?" "Does he have a say in the costumes?" Etc.

Well here is my breakdown on Halloween && the month of October in general.

We normally start asking Wyatt what his ideas for costumes are two months in advance, Because he is three && his answers are subject to change, But normally he has his mind made up before we ask him. We then base our family costumes around his answer. The first year we did chefs && a lobster in a pot, The second year Wyatt actually chose his skunk costume from target && I was grasping at straws for ideas but ended on pests && Aaron being a pest control officer, Last year Wyatt Also chose to be the remade Pennywise from Stephen king's IT (Obviously this was my favorite year of our family costumes), && of course this year he chose Frankenstein's monster (after changing his mind from "Nightmare before Christmas" Characters). So to put it lightly Wyatt is our ringmaster when it comes to costumes.

Second I got asked a lot this year, "How do you get him to sit still for the makeup?"

Honestly, I don't have any good tips or tricks for you. My kid is just overly excited for Halloween && LOVES to be dressed up so he just sits there && does what mommy asks him to, Also for the times when he is tired && won't listen I bribe him like crazy... Yup I bribe him with the candy he hasn't even earned yet. That's my big trick.

When it comes to decorating the house, we usually get one new thing every year (other then pumpkins) But decorating is 100 percent mommy. I am the one who gives the stamp of approval on new items for the porch... Usually because I am the one buying them.

As for the breakdown of our Spooky month,

In the first week of October we go to the pumpkin patch && Apple picking for a fun day.

Second week we test out all of our makeup and finalize our costume ideas.

Third week we go back to the pumpkin patch for our donut fix && to grab our craving pumpkins. Also we normally take a few photos in our costumes because face it Halloween night is far to busy.

Fourth week we are watching all of our Halloween movies, Carving our pumpkins, && Roasting our pumpkin seeds as well as decorating our porch.

&& Finally on Halloween we head over to my Grandma's house to meet up with the family for pizza && Trick-or-treating.

Its a busy expensive month but we manage to give him a great day every year, && I can not wait for next year to see what he wants to do for costumes.

SLEEP DAMNIT

SLEEP REGRESSION IS NOT A JOKE, I've said it before && I will continue to say it for at least the next 6 years. But what people don't...
