I am a momma that believes in natural consequences && I use them as teaching moments.
So when my kid was being super impatient while waiting for his lunch he decided to grab a frozen french fry. I immediately took it back && put it on the baking sheet then proceeded to listen to my crazy toddler scream for 2 minutes straight about how awful I am && cry until his neck vein popped out.
So naturally I give him the frozen fry && say "Fine, go ahead. Eat the frozen fry" thinking that he would take a bite then spit it out && then wait for the food to be cooked. (natural consequence) Guess who was absolutely wrong... Me, I was wrong.
My child not only ate the fry he proceeded to stare at my the entire time he ate it && (even though he was clearly displeased with the taste) tell me how "Yummy" it was.
I laughed and walked into the living room to tell my husband what had happened and he simply says "I could have told you that doesn't work, He did the same thing with me"
HAHA WHAT?!?! Not only are my husband and I on that same page but we aren't making progress at all in teaching my son patience.
